AODHD · Thinking in possibilities

Discover the opportunity inside the unexpected.

Adaptive Opportunity-Driven Hyperfocus & Discovery is an experimental creative-thinking method and ChatGPT plugin created and developed by Miki Atias.

Explore first. Evaluate later.

AODHD separates idea generation from evaluation. It explores distant connections, extracts useful mechanisms from unusual ideas, and alternates wide exploration with focused investigation before selecting what to test.

The aim is to discover unexpected opportunities in product ideas, business strategy, design challenges, inventions, and questions that feel stuck.

A different starting point

An apparently weak idea may contain one useful mechanism. AODHD asks what is interesting about it before judging whether the whole idea works.

From possibility to experiment

Promising fragments become focused concepts, explicit assumptions, and small experiments that can provide evidence for the next decision.

The proposition behind AODHD

Instead of seeing only the disorder, search for the order inside it.

AODHD draws conceptual inspiration from selected characteristics associated with ADHD, including associative thinking, novelty seeking, shifting between frames, and bursts of hyperfocus. It does not claim these characteristics apply to everyone with ADHD, or that ADHD-related impairment is unreal.

AODHD is a creativity experiment. It is not a diagnostic, medical, or clinical model of ADHD, and it has not been presented as a clinically validated intervention.
